The SBI Foundation’s Asha Scholarship Initiative commits to assisting 10,000 deserving students coming from deprived backgrounds.

The SBI Foundation has initiated the 3rd edition of its premier Asha Scholarship Program, offering financial aid to 10,000 outstanding students from impoverished locales across the country.

Participating in the program, learners from the 6th grade up to postgraduate students have access to scholarships that range from Rs15,000 to ₹20,00,000 annually.

The SBI Foundation’s announcement revealed that the Asha Scholarship Program provides unique segments for students from elementary to college, graduate, and IIT/IIM participants.

Moreover, students from the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) communities planning to pursue higher education abroad can take advantage of the ‘Study Abroad’ program.

Established in 2022, the Asha Scholarship Program has since then offered immediate monetary assistance amounting to ₹3.91 crore to 3,198 students, according to the announcement.

Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, the head of the State Bank of India, addressed the fellowship initiative, mentioning that it reflects the bank’s fundamental principle of service well beyond financial services, and its role in helping the country’s continuous progress and prosperity for everyone.
